Larger sizes can also be customized to meet the single-batch feed requirements of small-scale household farms. Materials include food-grade stainless steel and carbon steel. Both spiral and helical blades are available, depending on the feed type. For example, spiral blades are preferred for mixing granular or powdered dry materials, as they provide uniform mixing and minimize residue. Paddle blades are more suitable for mixing green wet materials or dregs, as they are less prone to clogging and provide smooth discharge.

However, it is relatively expensive, has limited construction, and requires careful attention to cutting speed when processing fibrous feeds.
Stainless Steel Flat-Top Household Feed Mixer: Also known as a stainless steel wet and dry feed mixer, it is ideal for small-scale farms. It can mix various mixed pig feeds and chicken and duck feeds. The drum is constructed of 201/304 stainless steel, making it easy to clean and rust-resistant.
