Rice Bucket Elevator production line

Rice Bucket Elevator is a vertical conveying equipment in the rice processing production line. It is responsible for lifting and transferring rice between different processing links. From the initial receipt of rice to peeling, grading, and final storage in the warehouse, the Rice Bucket Elevator plays its inherent mechanical conveying role. From the entry of raw grain to the sorting of brown rice, the Rice Bucket Elevator runs through the entire process, ensuring that rice can be continuously transported between equipment at different heights, which is the basic component of the daily operation of the grain processing plant.
What are the production line processes of Rice Bucket Elevator?
The Rice Bucket Elevator consists of a series of hoppers fixed on traction components (such as chains or belts). Driven by the drive device, these hoppers continuously dig rice from the bottom and lift it to a preset height. Its closed structure effectively reduces dust and material loss.
Preliminary cleaning
During the lifting process or immediately after the lifting, the rice will undergo preliminary cleaning to remove large impurities such as straw, stones, mud, etc. This is usually done through equipment such as vibrating screens and stone removers to protect the normal operation of subsequent equipment and improve processing efficiency.
Lifting to the silo, storage and buffering
The rice that has been initially cleaned will be transported to the grain storage silo or buffer silo again through the Rice Bucket Elevator.
Grain storage silo: used to store a large amount of rice to be processed to ensure that the production line has sufficient raw material supply. The bucket elevator can transport rice to silos at different heights and positions.
Buffer silo: On a continuous production line, the buffer silo plays a role in regulating the flow of materials to avoid production interruptions caused by speed mismatch between the front and rear links. The Rice Bucket Elevator can accurately control the amount of rice entering the silo here.
Peeling (hulling), the key step for rice to become brown rice
The rice coming out of the grain storage silo or buffer silo is transported to the rice huller (also called husker, rice mill) through a bucket elevator, which is the key link in processing rice into brown rice.
Principle of rice husking: The rice husking machine uses the relative movement of rubber rollers or sand discs to apply squeezing, shearing or rubbing force to the rice, so that the rice husk is separated from the rice grains.
Husk separation: The material that passes through the rice husk is a mixture of rice husk, brown rice and a small amount of unhusked rice. Subsequently, the light husk is separated from the heavier brown rice and unhusked rice by air separation or suction separator. The husk is usually collected for other treatment (such as fuel or feed additive).
Grading, separation of brown rice and unhusked rice
The peeled mixture needs to be transported to the rice-brown separation screen again through a bucket elevator. The purpose of this link is to effectively separate brown rice, unhusked rice (grain) and a small amount of broken rice.
Principle of rice-brown separation screen: The rice-brown separation screen uses the friction coefficient, density and particle size difference of the material on the inclined screen surface to separate the grain and brown rice through vibration and tilting movement. Unhusked rice is usually returned to the rice husker for re-husking to increase the rice yield.
Screening of broken rice: During the grading process, special screening equipment may also be set up to separate small particles of broken rice from intact brown rice.
Rice Bucket Elevator undertakes the continuous transportation of materials between different heights and processing units: from the initial entry of rice to husking, grading, and finally entering the storage facility. Its design ensures stable vertical transportation of materials between different processing heights and reduces space occupation. The closed structure of the equipment helps to control dust diffusion and reduce material loss. These characteristics of the bucket elevator make it an indispensable component of rice from raw grain to preliminary processing stage until it enters the storage link.
